Missouri RYLA Academy 2024
Would your high school student like to create impact in the lives of those in our community? They can do just that by attending the Missouri RYLA Academy (MO RYLA): a four-day/three-night service leadership academy that introduces Rotary's "Service Above Self' philosophy. The curriculum, developed and administered by professional educators, includes personality self-assessment, team building activities, and a two-day service project simulation. This program is recognized by Rotary International as one of the model RYLA programs in the world, notably as the only break-out session at the 2019 Rotary International Convention in Hamburg, Germany.
MO RYLA has been going strong for over thirty years! In the last three decades, over two thousand students statewide have participated, in partnership with a local Rotary Club. The RYLA staff is comprised of professional high school guidance counselors, educators and outstanding Rotarians from around the state. The program is designed for incoming high school sophomores, juniors and seniors only. There is no GPA requirement and family members of Rotarians, such as children or grandchildren, are eligible to attend, but it’s not a requirement to be associated with a Rotarian.
In 2024, two academy sessions of MO RYLA will be held in Warrensburg, Missouri on the campus of University of Central Missouri:
Session 1: Sunday, June 23rd thru Wednesday, June 26th or
Session 2: Sunday, July 7th thru Wednesday, July 10th

Attending students are allowed to select their own preferred academy session date, with each session maxed at 100 participants. The registration fee is $500.00 per student, and if selected, this fee is covered by the Southeast Rotary Club here in Springfield, MO. The only financial requirement for students is they will need to provide their own transportation.
