Membership at Southeast Rotary is extremely important to us, and we are always eager to hear from individuals interested in our mission and in joining our ranks.   Membership, however, is by invitation only, so interested people must be sponsored by two current members in good standing.

Rotarians are business and professional leaders who take active roles in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives.

Rotary International offers its members the opportunity to affect change within the community, advance business and professional contacts, develop leadership skills, and gain an understanding of -- and have an impact on -- international humanitarian issues. Through Rotary International and a local club, a Rotarian can have a significant effect on the quality of life within their community and around the world.

Criteria and Proposals

Springfield Southeast encourages its members to introduce new, qualified prospective members to Rotary and its opportunities for service and fellowship. Membership is by invitation only, and the applicant must be proposed by two active members in good standing.

Our membership development strategy is to build a strong club rather than building only a large club.  We encourage members who know people who meet the membership criteria below to invite them to a Springfield Southeast event and show them what Rotary is.

Holds or is retired from a professional, proprietary, executive, or managerial position.

Has the capacity to meet the club's attendance and service requirements.

Lives or works within the Springfield area.

Is a person of integrity and maintains a good business reputation.

New member brochures and proposals can be picked up at the house table or by contacting the Southeast office.
